Concept project — a design demonstration, not a client engagement
Case study · Local service website
Local service website concept — quotes without the phone tag
Illustrative mockup — the design demonstration, not a real client’s site.
The challenge
A skilled electrician gets all his work from word of mouth and old flyers. When a happy customer wants to refer him, there is nothing to forward — no page showing his services, no prices, no areas covered, no reviews. Every referral starts with a phone call where the same questions get asked and answered again. Meanwhile, competitors with even a basic website pick up the Google searches for “electrician near me”.
The solution
A compact, mobile-first site — because customers will open it on their phones, usually in a hurry. One job: turn a visit into a call or WhatsApp message.
- Service pages with upfront starting prices — price fear is the #1 reason people don’t call
- Service-area coverage list — so out-of-area callers filter themselves out
- Tap-to-call and WhatsApp buttons fixed on mobile — one tap, no hunting
- Quote-request form: service needed + area + preferred time, straight to WhatsApp
- Reviews section — launches honestly empty until real customer reviews exist; we never invent them
Technology: WordPress + GeneratePress + GenerateBlocks. A one-evening training session covers updating prices, areas, and photos.
The honest result
No invented job counts or revenue claims — it’s a concept. The structural win is simple: referrals finally have somewhere to land, prices are public so callers arrive pre-qualified, and the business becomes findable for “[service] near me” searches. After a real launch we would measure tap-to-call clicks, WhatsApp chats, and quote-form submissions, and share the actual figures.
